What makes our 4-bedroom home energy efficient?
Our 5-bedroom home is energy efficient due to its innovative use of renewable energy and cutting-edge construction techniques. It achieves a Passive House score of 0.12, surpassing industry standards, and boasts an EPC score of 104, well above the 2025 Future Homes Standard of 81. Advanced insulation ensures zero cold spots, no thermal bridges, and no interstitial condensation, maintaining consistent indoor temperatures. With three barrier layers managing thermal mass, air temperature, and humidity, heating requirements are minimal. The double-cavity system, a world first, enhances energy efficiency, while fast on-site build times ensure quality and reduced environmental impact.
How does the home achieve an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) score of 104?
The home achieves an impressive Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) score of 104 by utilising renewable energy, superior insulation, and advanced building technologies. Its design eliminates cold spots, thermal bridges, and interstitial condensation, while maintaining high thermal mass with minimal heating needs. The innovative double-cavity system and three barrier layers ensure excellent energy efficiency, far exceeding the required standards.
What are the benefits of zero interstitial condensation and no thermal bridges?
Zero interstitial condensation prevents moisture buildup within the walls, eliminating mold, structural damage, and maintaining a healthier indoor environment. No thermal bridges ensure consistent insulation throughout the home, avoiding cold spots and reducing heat loss, which improves energy efficiency, enhances comfort, and lowers heating costs. Together, they ensure long-term durability and optimal living conditions.
How does the on-site build time compare to traditional homes?
Our ground works are completely different from a traditional build as we use 83% recyclable chipboard blocks for our foundation blocks. We use no concrete other what is in the footings and blocks which is low carbon concrete. we erect our houses with no scaffolding which has never been done before, all this then reduces the time by up to 70%.
What role do the three barrier layers play in maintaining thermal mass and air temperature?
It reduces moisture content and allows the overall fabric to breath which then shows no cracking or movement within the building envelope.
How does our home exceed the 2025 Future Homes Standard requirements?
Our houses cost zero to run because the thermal mass heats and cools the house our houses are run by renewable energy and most important are zero carbon to be achieved by 2050 our product has a world class patented design.
